Chapter 3
“Reece, what are you doing here?” she asked tensely😥.
“I just came by to visit, but since you’re busy, I’ll come back
when you’re free😌” he said whiles mounting his bike🏍.
“Reece, are you cool with me banging out with other guys?” she asked.
“Yeah, I know you got me and I got you. So no problem. Have
fun babe, see you later”, he pecked her😚 and rode off.

Lewis got out of his
car and walked towards Chantelle.
“Who was that?” he asked.
“It’s just a guy who I helped out and he came by to show
gratitude”, she said lying like it was nothing.
“Oh okay”, he said, letting his doubts wear off.
They both walked inside
her house and went to her room. She changed her clothes and they talked, did their
stuff and watched a movie till they both fell asleep.

Lewis woke up later and
left.
As he was leaving he met Amanda at the door
step.
“Wow, someone is so excited this evening😆”, she said
teasing him.
“Amanda be careful”, he said laughing.
“Is she in her room?” Amanda asked.
“Yeah”.
“Alright, see you in school”, Amanda said and she
walked in.
She got to Chantelle’s room and
saw her video calling someone.
“Let me call you back”, She said hanging
up.
Amanda took an apple
from her table and sat on the bed.
“Who was that on the phone?” she asked.
“Reece”.
“Just after Lewis left?😧 C.C you’re something
else.😐”
“I just like them both, it’s not my fault”.🤷🏽♀
“Are you sleeping with the two of them?”.
“Yeah, duh… 🙄“
“Hmm, I see”.
“So what’s up with you?”
“Nothing better, just school, church, home. That’s all”.
“What about that guy you said you liked”, Chantelle
said wiggling her eyebrows🤠.
“He doesn’t like me😒”.
“How do you know that when you’ve not even spoken to
him”.
“I did, but he’s into you”.🤥
“Oops”

They talked for a while
till Amanda left.

*In Betty’s house*
“Can you believe? She’s sleeping with the
two of them” Amanda said.
“Hmm, I’m not surprised though. She’s been like this
since birth. Remember when she wasn’t content with her doll and she stole my doll
which was my birthday present😖😖 and when we were in primary
school, she kissed that guy that I had a crush on, and oh, when we thought she
was finally going to stick with Mike, then she cheated on him with Lewis. I don’t know what
is wrong with her, but well, it’s her life🤷🏽♀”.
“Yeah, but I’m scared for her, what if Reece finds out, he might do
something crazy to her”.
“So talk to her about it”, Betty said.
“No, you talk to her; I might get into a big fight with her
if I do”
“But you’re the church girl and all that, she might listen to you
and not pick a fight, as for me, she’ll just get angry at me. I don’t want to get
into a big fight with her”.
“Hmm, or let’s talk to Lewis” Betty suggested.
“No no no, bad move, he’ll run to her and ask
her and she’ll defend herself and we’ll be the bad ones
and we might lose her too”.

“Hmm, then let’s just watch her and hope that nothing goes
wrong”.
“Yeah”.
As they were talking,
Betty's parents came home and they had to cut their conversation.

Chantelle‘s parents
were arguing in the kitchen when she walked in.
“What’s going on?” she asked.
“Chantelle just go to your room”, her mum said waving
her off.
She rolled her eyes at
the reaction she was expecting.
“Dad, what’s going on?”
“We were just discussing your future”, her dad said
smiling.

“Uhm, didn’t look like a discussion to me”.
“Your mum wants you to offer law, and I think that you’ll make a
good accountant or business manager, then you can work at my company”.
“Wow!!” Chantelle said folding her arms.
“Junior got to decide his course, but I don’t get a
chance to decide mine?”
“You make rash decisions a lot, so we’re trying to
help here”, her mum said.
“Help? Oh please you know nothing about helping me. All you
know is to make selfish decisions in this house”, she said without
thinking of the consequences.
Before she could eat
back her words, a huge slap fell on her face.
“How dare you?!” her mother said.
“Melissa!!!” her dad shouted glaring at his wife.
Chantelle placed her
hands on her cheek and stared at her mum for a while, then she ran out of the
house.
On running out, she met
her big brother..
