The storm in my life

Chapter 6

Katherine’s POV

“That’s more like it”, his mother said, smiling.

I was really astonished and uncomfortable. It’s been almost five years since I felt someone’s lips on mine.

“Honey are you okay?” his mum asked.

“Uh yeah, I am”, I said, smiling.

“She’s not used to public display of affection”, Noah said, putting his arms around me and pulling me closer.

“Okay, I understand. Your mother was like that in the past”, his dad, said smiling at his wife.

I couldn’t actually believe that I was dining with the governor and his family. I didn’t know if I should feel good about it. I was honored to be in their presence, but not in this condition. As an escort! If someone had told me last week that I was going to be an escort, I would have slapped the person, but here I am.

I was glad when the dinner was over.

Noah’s parents left before us. They both hugged me and told me how happy they were to finally meet me and the looked forward to seeing me again.

When they left, Noah and I sat there for a while. He didn’t utter a word, and I wasn’t planning on saying anything too but when I remembered that it was a job, I spoke up.

“Your parents are really lovely”, I said smiling.

“Yeah? They were also putting up an act just like we were doing?”

“How so?”

“I’ll rather not say”.

“Hmm, can I go home now?” I asked in the most polite way I could.

“You don’t want to hang out for a while?” he asked.

I was about to tell him that it was getting late and I had to go home before my parents start freaking out, but then I couldn’t, it will be so unprofessional of me as an escort.

“If you want to hang out here, I will do so too”, I said smiling.

“You don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to do, okay? If you want to go home, just say it and I’ll take you home”.

Is this escort job really that easy? Or he was just being a nice person or is he just trying to test me or something? I wasn’t ready to lose this job, so I had to be smart.

“I’m fine sitting here with you”, I said to him.

He observed me for a while and nodded his head.

“So, tell me a little about you. What’s behind that pretty face?” he said, sitting up and leaning forward with his hands on the table.

I didn’t know if this was appropriate, but I just had to say something. I didn’t want to be rude.

“Uhmm, there’s nothing really. I’m just a random girl with a normal story like every other girl”.

“C’mon, tell me something other than that”.

“Uhmm, what exactly will you like to know”?

“Just anything that you’ll love to share, asking questions will be more like an interview”.

“Just like your parents did?” I said without thinking and immediately wished that I could eat back my words, but then Noah laughed about it, so I relaxed.

“Yeah, they just had to do that to make me uncomfortable”, he said.

“Really? How so?” I asked.

“I see what you’re trying to do. We’re talking about you Katherine, not me. And I’m sure you already know a lot about me, since it’s job”.

“Yeah, but not that much. Just what you wanted me to know”, I said smiling.

“Mmm, so why are you doing this job?”

“The same reason why everyone is doing theirs”.

“Yeah, I know, but why this?”

I didn’t really know what to say. I was just mute.

“If you don’t want to talk about it, that’s fine. I’m sorry for prying”.

I didn’t say a thing. I just looked at my phone to check the time and I saw a missed call from my mum.

“Do you need to go?” he asked.

“I’m fine”, I said.

“C’mon let’s go”, he said getting up.

He stretched his hand out to me and I place mine in his, and he walked me out.

We waited at the drive way for a while and his car arrived.

He quickly opened the door for me and I got in. He got in too and drove off.

We arrived at the boutique that he picked me from, and I stepped out.

“I’ll be waiting for you here”, he said.

“No you don’t have to. I’m good”.

“I insist”, he said.

“Fine, I’ll be back”, I said.

I walked in and the lady who attended to me earlier on approached me.

“You’re back already”, she said smiling.

“Yeah, I’ll like to change back to my clothes”.

“Okay, they’re still in that same room”, she said, pointing at the room that I changed in earlier on.

“Alright”, I said and I went over there to change my outfit. When I was done, I took the dress back to her, but she told me to keep it, that it was mine now. I was really surprised. This job was starting to get interesting. Are all escort jobs like this, I asked myself. Hmm.

I got out, and Noah was still there in his car waiting.

I knocked on the window and he unlocked the door for me and I got in.

“Wow, you look fabulous even in casual”, he said, checking me out.

“Thanks”, I said, smiling.

He asked me where I lived and I told him and he keyed it in his GPS.

The whole ride was silent till we got to my house.

“Thanks”, I said, smiling at him.

“Anytime Kat”.

He unlocked the door and I was about to step out, but he held me back.

“Can we hang out tomorrow?” he asked.

“You’ll have to ask my agent”, I said.

“Not as an escort. As a friend”.

“Mmm, if I don’t have to work tomorrow, why not?”

“Is that a yes?”

“Yeah”, I said smiling.

He released me and I stepped out.

“Goodnight”, I said to him. He waved and then he drove off.

I got into my house and was glad that no one was in the hall or the kitchen.

I went to my room and dived onto my bed.

Today had been an adventure and it was nice. The job is not that bad after-all.

I got up, took a shower and went to bed.

************

My sleep was interrupted when my mum woke me up.

“Kat, wake up, your dad isn’t waking up!!!” she said panting.

“What?”

My Muse 40

*My Muse*♥️☺ *_Chapter 40_* *Natasha's POV* Today was supposed to be my happy day. But it turned out to be my worst nightmare. I was happy to be finally getting married to Oscar. As I walked down the aisle with my dad, tears of Joy were all over my cheeks. I couldn't believe it. Everyone stood up with a weird look on their face. What's going on? They were supposed to be smiling. My dad also noticed it. "Don't panic or mind the looks you're receiving", he said and I relaxed a bit. I looked at April, she's supposed to be cheering me up but she looked confused. As we got to the altar, I finally understood why they all had those looks on their faces. Oscar wasn't there. Where could he be? I said to myself panicking. "Where's Oscar?" June whispered in my ear. "I don't know"😰😰 I looked around and his family members were all there, but Oscar wasn't here!! I took my seat  and June starte

My Muse Sequel

*My Muse*♥️☺ *_Sequel_*💘💘 *Natasha’s POV* “Mom!!  Mom!!”  My little girl said, jumping on me. I was sitting on the chair so it was easy for her to jump. “April, you’re going to hurt our baby”, I said, widening my eyes. “I’m sorry mom”, she said, pouting her lips. “It’s okay baby. How was school?” I asked her. “It was great. I played with my friends. Miss Alison taught us new numbers. I can count one to twenty now”, she said, grinning. “Oh that’s great. Count for me”. She counted 1 to 10 and I was really happy for her.  April was just 4 and she was really smart. “That’s wonderful baby”, I said, clapping. “Where are your brothers?” I asked her. “They are outside with daddy.  They both got into a fight”, she said, frowning. Not again. Kendrick and Kendrack are always at each other’s throat and it really annoys me. They fight over little things like they’re girls. And yeah, they’re twins. They turned 7 this year. I waited patiently for them to come in.

My Muse 39

*My Muse*♥️☺ *_Chapter 39_* *Natasha's POV* "Uhmm. Will that be a good idea? Aren't other pastors available?" "Since he just got ordained we decided that he officates his first wedding now, and it happens to be yours". "Is he cool with it?" I asked. "Yeah, he was happy about it and said something about his prophecy coming true", he said and I remembered what he told me the day he broke things off with me. God is indeed great and true to his words. "Are you okay with it?" He asked me. "As long as June is fine, then it's not a big deal", I said and Oscar looked at me with questioning looks. "Okay, congratulations once again". "Thank you", I said and he hanged up. "What was that about?" Oscar asked me. "They've gotten a pastor to officiate our wedding". "And it's June?" He asked and I nodded hoping that he'll be cool with
