The storm in my life

Chapter 7

Katherine’s POV

“What?” I said jumping out of my bed.

“Have you called the ambulance?” I asked her and quickly rushed to his room and I saw my little sister sitting by him in tears, praying.

“Yeah”, my mum said, joining my sister in prayers.

I also closed my eyes and said a prayer to God.

“God please keep my dad alive for me. We can’t lose him now. If we do, we’ll never be the same. God please”, I said tearing up too.

After a while, the ambulance arrived.

They took him and quickly left.

“Mum, let’s go”. I said to my mum.

“No, I’ll go alone. Stay at home with your sis. She has to go to school this morning”.

“Mum, I can’t go to school”, my sister said in tears.

“Sweetie, you have to go. Your dad won’t be happy if he wakes up and realises that you skipped school”, she said, trying to smile, but deep down I could tell that she was really scared and sad.

“What if he doesn’t wake up?” she said to my mum.

“Don’t say that honey. He’ll wake up”, my mum said smiling and cupping my sister’s cheek.

“I have to go now. Kat please make sure that she doesn’t miss the school bus”, my mum said, taking her car key.

“Mum, please fill me in with anything that happens. I’ll be there as soon as Lucy goes to school”.

“What about work?” my mum asked.

“I’ll seek permission from them to…..” I tried saying but I was interrupted by my mum.

“No no, you just got this job. You can’t just skip work on your first day. Go to work and after work you can come to the hospital”, my mum said.

I wish I could let her know that my work required me in the evenings and not during the day, but telling her that will lead to her asking me questions. So I just had to let it go.

“Okay, but keep me posted”, I said to her.

“Sure”, she said and she left.

I took my sister to her room and made sure she got ready for school.

*******************
I was at Lanquin club killing time.

It’s been over two hours ever since I heard from my mum.

She told me that he was conscious, but was undergoing some test and medication, and it’s been over two hours now and she hasn’t filled me in.

I’ve called her several times, but it keeps going to her voice mail.

I was really worried and I really wanted to go the hospital, but I had to wait till noon.

I was sitting and waiting anxiously till my phone vibrated.

I didn’t even look at the caller ID and I picked up.

“Mum!! I’ve been waiting for your call. Any update?”

“Mum? Do I have a new coded name or something?”

I looked at my phone and I saw that it wasn’t my mum.

“Who’s this?” I asked angrily.

“Calm down Kat. It’s Noah”.

“Ohh, I’m really sorry Noah, I was expecting a call from my mum”.

“Don’t worry. It’s fine. Is everything okay? You sound edgy”.

“I’m fine, just waiting for my mum’s call”, I said, forcing myself to relax.

“Is she fine?”

“Yeah, just a little family problem”.

“Mmm, I’m guessing today is a bad day to hang out?”

“Yeah, I’m really sorry Noah. Can we make it next time?”

“How about tomorrow?” he asked.

“Maybe. I can’t make any promises”.

“Okay, I will give you a call tomorrow. Take care of yourself”.

“Sure”, I said, and he hanged up.

I called my mum and she still didn’t pick. I quickly stepped out and took a cab to the hospital.

When I got there, I saw my mum arguing with a nurse and I pulled her aside.

“Mum, I’ve been calling you. What’s happening?”

“We need to move your dad to another hospital”.

“Why?”

“They’re very slow in this hospital and they’re not giving me any feedback. The nurse said all the doctors are busy at the moment and will get back to me later. But I’ve not heard anything”.

“And why haven’t you moved him?”

“I don’t have the money to move him to a private hospital”.

“Mmm, I’ll call my workplace and see what I can get”.

“Do you expect them to pay you now?”

“They said they’ll give me advancement before work starts. I’m just going to ask them for it”, I said to my mum.

“Will that be enough?”

“It will start something till my salary comes in”.

“Okay”.

I excused myself and called Amber.

“Hello Miss Kurry”.

“Hi Amber, uhmm…”

“I forgot to congratulate you on your assignment yesterday. You did a good job. Mr Chappman rated you with 5 stars”, she cut in.

“Okay, thanks”, I said smiling. “Uhmm, how and when do I get paid?”

“I thought you read everything before signing the papers”.

“Yeah, but I just wanted to be sure. It’s all mixed up in my mind”.

“Okay. You don’t get paid on your first assignment. The first pay by our client goes to Quora Ltd, and after that you start getting 70% of the payment made by your client and the rest goes to Lanquin club and Quora Ltd”, she said.

“Okay, thanks”, I said disappointed. “Do I have any client yet?”

“No, but I’m working on something and that’ll work out tomorrow”.

“Okay, thank you”.

“Sure anytime”, she said, and I hanged up.

I was really disappointed. My dad had to be moved.

I walked in circles thinking of what to do. I really needed to get a client. And I wanted a wealthy one. I paced back and forth, and Noah’s name came to mind.

How was I going to get him to call the agency? Oh God, please help me out. Do you really want me to continue like this? Just find a better way for me. I don’t want to do this.

I guess I’ll just have to continue with this.

I made up mind.

I have to do this for my dad, so I took my phone and called Noah.

“Hello”, he said in his husky voice.

“Can you do me a huge favour?”

“Yeah, what is it?”

“Can you call my agent and request for a night with me”?

😲😲😲😲😲

My Muse 40

*My Muse*♥️☺ *_Chapter 40_* *Natasha's POV* Today was supposed to be my happy day. But it turned out to be my worst nightmare. I was happy to be finally getting married to Oscar. As I walked down the aisle with my dad, tears of Joy were all over my cheeks. I couldn't believe it. Everyone stood up with a weird look on their face. What's going on? They were supposed to be smiling. My dad also noticed it. "Don't panic or mind the looks you're receiving", he said and I relaxed a bit. I looked at April, she's supposed to be cheering me up but she looked confused. As we got to the altar, I finally understood why they all had those looks on their faces. Oscar wasn't there. Where could he be? I said to myself panicking. "Where's Oscar?" June whispered in my ear. "I don't know"😰😰 I looked around and his family members were all there, but Oscar wasn't here!! I took my seat  and June starte

My Muse Sequel

*My Muse*♥️☺ *_Sequel_*💘💘 *Natasha’s POV* “Mom!!  Mom!!”  My little girl said, jumping on me. I was sitting on the chair so it was easy for her to jump. “April, you’re going to hurt our baby”, I said, widening my eyes. “I’m sorry mom”, she said, pouting her lips. “It’s okay baby. How was school?” I asked her. “It was great. I played with my friends. Miss Alison taught us new numbers. I can count one to twenty now”, she said, grinning. “Oh that’s great. Count for me”. She counted 1 to 10 and I was really happy for her.  April was just 4 and she was really smart. “That’s wonderful baby”, I said, clapping. “Where are your brothers?” I asked her. “They are outside with daddy.  They both got into a fight”, she said, frowning. Not again. Kendrick and Kendrack are always at each other’s throat and it really annoys me. They fight over little things like they’re girls. And yeah, they’re twins. They turned 7 this year. I waited patiently for them to come in.

My Muse 39

*My Muse*♥️☺ *_Chapter 39_* *Natasha's POV* "Uhmm. Will that be a good idea? Aren't other pastors available?" "Since he just got ordained we decided that he officates his first wedding now, and it happens to be yours". "Is he cool with it?" I asked. "Yeah, he was happy about it and said something about his prophecy coming true", he said and I remembered what he told me the day he broke things off with me. God is indeed great and true to his words. "Are you okay with it?" He asked me. "As long as June is fine, then it's not a big deal", I said and Oscar looked at me with questioning looks. "Okay, congratulations once again". "Thank you", I said and he hanged up. "What was that about?" Oscar asked me. "They've gotten a pastor to officiate our wedding". "And it's June?" He asked and I nodded hoping that he'll be cool with
